Some call her Benazir Bhutto, others Sarah Palin
Some call her Lady Liberty, others Queen Birtukan
What she really is though – a little girl with a magic wand
A confused little girl another “Alice in wonderland”
She got herself in a hole and now she’ll be swimming in her tear
She is wrong on so many levels but she is not one to fear
To appease Oromos, Habeshas desperately need her
They say she is a young charismatic leader
Playing voodoo with this Barbie doll
Propped her up to put Oromo under their control
Dreaming to squeeze the juice out of her till she is no more vogue
Now they say she is a queen to treat her later as a frog
A judge without a good judgment
Letting herself to be used by ugly politicians as ornament
Taking a stand is good, taking the right stand even better
She should join Oromo camp sooner than later
Thousands of Oromo prisoners will receive her with open arms
When a lost child comes back home, there wont be any qualms
Welcome back to the dungeon, Ms. Midhaqssa
Just so you know, the prison speaks Oromiffa!

[...] Birtukan leapfrogging to jail [...]
Neftagnas conspired against her.Habashas do not want to embrace her. Her “Lutheran” Pentecoste congregation talks only about ‘ brainwashing paralysis’. Now she is taken to the jail for the second time. Then who will struggle for her liberty? Now Meles has chosen for her a right place where she can be fully naturalised to Oromummaa by the struggle of Meles’ Oromo prison community in the jail.
“naturalised to Oromummaa” Hahaha…it’s about time she got naturalized. I wish she could have “naturalized to Oromummaa” without being institutionalized. If she can’t sympathize and stand with Oromos without visiting prison, then maybe she should walk in our shoes and come out a changed person.
That photo was amazing. Did you create it, Oromantic? If so.. I raise my hat to you. It’s beautiful and fitting. The poem.. well.. you are showing improvement
.
Odaa,
Please try not to let your hate cloud your judgement. Or else, you’d end up becoming worse than your opressors.
Happy Holidays to you both!
Dear all,
Birtukan has no naturalization nor institutionalization to Oromummaa. She was born from a Tigrean woman and a military Gurage person, but bearing an Oromoo name. That is why she is related to Berhanu Nega. So, I urge every audience to stop linking this lady to an Oromoo people and our cause.
IUOf!
Oromantic,
Oromia is proud of the work you are doing. I visit your website to see what you are doing and always leave enlightened by your poetic approaches to issues. This one on Birtukan Miidhaksaa is so commendable. Keep up the good work. You are such a truly talented person.
Dear Qeerransoo Biyyaa my fellow Oromo blogger,
Thank you for the kind words. It is very flattering and humbling at the same time to hear you say that. I follow your articles on American Chronicle and I also visit Oromo Press on a regular basis. I tried few times to leave my comment on your blog but I couldn’t because I don’t have google’s Blogger account. Maybe you need to enable anonymous comments or comments from other blog platforms like wordpress ot Typepad.
Anyways, blog on bro!
Look, people like Birtukan for what it stands for. You idiots are perennially obsessed with ethnicity and manage to bring it into everything.
YOU GUYS TALK A GOOD TALK BUT DO NOTHING TO FREE OROMIA. Talk is cheap, Either do it through OLF guerrillas or shut up. You’re worse then the Ethiopian diaspora who talks of getting woyane out and does nothing. Aheyas!
Everybody here could see who the real jackass is…
Mr. “colonialist”, fyi I don’t have time for lowlives like you. So, don’t bother commenting here!
