Miss Oromia USA 2008

13 05 2008

Beauty, Culture and Beyond….

To be held during Oromo Megafest 2008 in Minnesota, this event will be a beauty pageant/fashion show, meaning that contestants choosing to enter and compete will have to answer questions demonstrating their knowledge of Oromo culture, model cultural and contemporary fashion, and give a talent exhibition.
In the same class category as Run For Oromia, this event will be a professional fashion show, marketable to non-Oromos audiences. Are you ready for stardom? Well get ready, because this event will attract crowds, Oromo and non-Oromo alike, for an evening of class, culture and entertainment.

Dina Fekadu, Miss Universe Ethiopia 2006, is a friend of mine. We met on several occasions and she was even honorary guest of Run 4 Oromia event last year. I’m sure she will be part of Miss Oromia USA this year. Eat your heart out!

The truth is......

Hmmm I agree with you Oromatic, whilst your intentions may have been genuine by posting stolen photos of Dina from such a well recognised pageant as Miss Universe I believe you crossed the line and entered in to the realm of the common theives and trade mark infringers in Ethiopia who steal any and everything they can. Ie Mariot, . Intercontinental Aaddis hotels but can never make head way having stolen something that does not belong to them.

Even if Dina Fekadu is your sister you do not own Miss USA treademark so why steal Dinas photos from Miss Universe and post them on your website, who are you trying to fool?

You might as well go one step further and call your pageant MISS ORMOATIC UNIVERSE.

I note your pageant has not be held geez! I wonder why? it is so easy to set up a fake website not so easy to fool the girls I guess?
